Mrs. Fields Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

1/2 lb. (2 sticks) of butter
1 C. packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1/2 t. salt
1 t. baking soda
1 t. baking powder
5 packets (1 serving ea.) Quaker Instant Oatmeal regular flavor
2 C. all purpose flour
3 bars (1.45 oz. ea.) nestles Milk Chocolate candy
12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet choc chips
1 C. chopped walnuts

Procedure:

Put Nestles candy bars through blender till consistency & size of dry barley. Set aside.

Using medium sized mixing bowl and electric mixer on medium-high speed, combine first 8 ingredients, beating well with each addition. Put the 5 packets of instant oatmeal through blender on high speed, a few seconds, till it is finely powdered; the consistency of flour. Remove beaters and work in oatmeal, a little at a time, and then the
flour, till dough is smooth. Work in ground Nestles candy, and then the chocolate chips and walnuts. Prepare cookie
sheet. Measure out dough in level 1/4 cup measuring cups, shaping each into patties 1/2 inch thick and about 2 inches in diameter. Place 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets.

Bake 375F exactly 10 minutes. DO NOT overbake or cookies will be hard when completely cool! Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet 5 minutes and then remove carefully to continue cooling on paper towels. Makes 2 dozen.
