8 slices Bread, cut diagonally
2 C Milk
1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
tsp Ground Cardamom (optional)
1 tsp Lemon Zest
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Sugar
Grease 13x9 inch (30x23cm) baking dish.
Arrange bread slices in baking dish so they overlap.
In large bowl,
beat together the eggs, milk spices,
lemon zest, sugar and vanilla.
Pour egg mixture over bread.

Preheat oven to 350F.
Bake, uncovered, for 30 to 35 minutes,

You can mix up the recipe the night before and let the bread soak in a covered baking dish over night. In the morning, uncover
and bake. What could be easier.
